Hace unos días, os informábamos de que Phil Harrison abandonaba sony... y de que habia rumores de que era para ir a Atari...

Pues bien, se han confirmado, mañana se anunciará en rueda de prensa, pero hoy ya se ha publicado en joystiq, ps3fanboy, o videogamenews entre tantos...

Asi que, el nuevo cargo de Phil en Atari es el de Directeur Général Délégué (que manda mucho xD Director General Delegado) y sus funciones mañana las sabremos.

Los motivos? bueno, si hacemos caso de lo que se dice, basicamente por petición personal de David Garner, desde no hace tanto CEO de Infogrames/Atari:

"I have to say there is a lot of excitement around this mission that we're talking about, the brand and the people we're talking about – there is a bit of a magnet around us, in terms of European leaders in the games development industry, I've always wanted to work with Phil.

He's going to partner with me to build the future. He'll be the most senior guy responsible for all the content and network-centric material, all the investments that we make in games"

Se supone que Atari ha iniciado un proceso de caza de talentos, en principio europeos, para convertir a Atari en una primera potencia... juntando brillantes programadores noveles y conocidos gurús, Atari pretende recuperar el trono que ha ido perdiendo con el paso del tiempo, y porque no decirlo, con algunos títulos mediocres cuanto menos...

"We need to bring in a blend of older guys that know what they are doing and new guys that have the smarts and the inventive ideas to also take us forward"

"We're not deliberately trying to rip people out of their company roles" (si, si... xD)
